What five things set the price of a porta potty rental?
Five things set the price: where the unit goes, which unit you need, how long you keep it, how often it is serviced, and how many units you rent. Distance beyond Lea County, extra service visits and restroom trailers raise the price; multiple units on one trip lower the cost per unit.
| Factor | How it changes the price |
|---|---|
| Location | Lea County is flat-rate. Eddy County and Texas towns add a distance line of $40 to $75 each way. |
| Unit type | Sink, flushing and accessible units cost $40 to $110 more than standard. |
| Rental length | Up to 5 days on site is one event price. Over 7 days bills per 28 days. |
| Servicing | Weekly is included on monthly rentals. Extra visits are $45 each. |
| Quantity | One delivery charge covers every unit on the same trip. 5 or more units get 10% off the unit rate. |
Which fees do we not charge?
We do not add a fuel surcharge, a card processing fee, an environmental fee or a surprise cleaning fee. Same-day delivery in Hobbs has no rush fee when you call by 1 p.m. The only charges are on your quote: unit, delivery and pickup, service, any distance line and tax.
Charges that can apply, and are always shown first: a $50 same-day line outside Hobbs, a $45 extra service visit, a return trip if the truck cannot reach the unit, and repair cost for damage beyond normal wear. Full terms are in our rental terms.
How is tax handled on New Mexico and Texas rentals?
New Mexico rentals carry New Mexico gross receipts tax at the rate for the delivery location, and Texas rentals carry Texas sales tax. Tax is always its own line, so the total you approve is the total you pay. Churches, schools and other exempt groups can send a certificate before delivery.
Why is the first month higher than the next months?
The first 28-day cycle of a monthly rental includes the one-time delivery and pickup charge, so it is higher than every cycle after it. A standard unit at $165 per cycle costs $230 in cycle one and $165 in each cycle that follows, plus tax.
Worked examples of real costs
These four hypothetical examples use our October 2026 starting prices for Lea County addresses. They show how the unit, delivery and service lines add up to a total before tax. Your own quote may differ with distance, dates, unit choice and how many units share one trip.
| Job | What you rent | Before tax |
|---|---|---|
| Saturday backyard party, 60 guests, Hobbs | 1 standard unit, Friday to Monday | $175 |
| Bathroom remodel, 5 weeks, Hobbs | 1 sink unit for 2 cycles | $210 + $65 + $210 = $485 |
| 12-person framing crew, 12 weeks, Lovington | 2 standard units for 3 cycles, one trip | $990 + $65 = $1,055 |
| Outdoor wedding, 150 guests, bar, Hobbs | Three-stall trailer + 1 accessible unit + 1 hand-wash station | $1,850 + $215 + $95 = $2,160 |
How can you lower the cost of a porta potty rental?
You can lower the cost by booking units on one trip, choosing a unit with a sink instead of a toilet plus a separate station for small jobs, keeping event dates inside the Friday-to-Monday window, and asking for pickup the day the job ends. Churches and nonprofits get 10 percent off event units.
